こちらは三輪。国産第一号のシバウラガーデントラクタ・・・「撮りトラ＠土の館」

今日は、北海道上富良野町にあるスガノ農機の『「土の館」 土と犂の博物館』で見た、石川島芝浦機械㈱の3輪トラクター、シバウラガーデントラクタ 6馬力「撮りトラ」です。

以前も同じ名前の「シバウラガーデントラクタ」を紹介しましたが、こちらは4輪でした。日本のトラクターはまず3輪から始まったようです。やっぱり部品が少ない分、作りやすいということがあったんでしょうね。

ファーモールカブのような鋤が足元に来るタイプ。溝形鋼ムキ出しの無骨なフレームと鋳物部品。外見には構わないという開発態度が伝わってきます。現代の僕にはこれから外皮が載る・・・のような、未完成の空気が伝わってきますが、それがかえって機械化を求める声が切実だったのかなぁ・・・などと想像させます。

鋳物のハンドル。前輪も小さいなあ。こんな小さな前輪と、自動車のラグタイヤで畑を走ることができたなんて不思議です。すごく小さいので、もし埋まっても「よっこらしょ」と、ひとりで出せそうな感じではあります。

クラッチペダルからワイヤーだか針金が後ろのエンジンまで伸びています（クラッチなんでしょうね）。わお！イスがただ丸い形のお皿です！！　背もたれも、本当にごめんなさい、大人が作ったとは思えない形。他の部分に比べても格段に低い完成度に、開発も最後になって「あれ？人の乗るところどうしよう？」なんてことになったんじゃないかな・・・って想像しちゃいます。

これがそのクラッチ部分。ワイヤーじゃなくて鉄棒でした。大きな刈り払い機のクラッチ部分みたいな感じです。刈り払い機はチップソーを回しますが、こちらはタイヤを回すわけですね。四角いトレーの上にある木の棒付ロープはきっと始動用ですよね。

こちらがエンジン。タンクとマフラーが両サイドに分かれて、バンザイしているみたい。

タンクの下のほうに見えるのはマグネトーでしょうか。銘板がついているんですけど、拡大してもぶれていて読めない・・・残念。
